About

The Mission

The Mission District is the cultural heart of San Francisco — a dense, flat, and almost always sunny neighborhood that's home to the city's best and most diverse dining scene, vibrant street art, and a creative community that has persisted through decades of change. Established as a Latino neighborhood, the Mission still retains much of that character alongside an influx of tech workers, artists, and young professionals. Valencia Street offers a parade of trendy restaurants and boutiques. Mission Street is rawer, more authentic, and home to taquerias, panaderías, and tiendas that have been there for generations. Dolores Park is one of the great urban parks in America — a people-watching paradise on any given weekend.
